Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. As a CVICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those requiring mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, and other life-sustaining therapies.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, including those with complex medical conditions and multiple comorbidities.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, laboratory results, and other data to ensure timely and effective interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit or similar setting.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
The CVICU at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is a 36-bed unit that provides care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, and other life-sustaining therapies. The team is comprised of experienced healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
