Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Akumin Operating Corp. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and performing high-quality MR studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique.
  • Produces high-quality diagnostic images using multiple MR systems.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
  • Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • State license, if applicable.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
  • 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience.
Physical Requirements
  • The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients.
  • The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field.
  • May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease, and communicable disease when interacting with patients.
