Job Summary
A Host/Hostess Portico is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining the overall ambiance of the restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests promptly and provide a warm welcome.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient seating arrangements, managing reservations and waitlists as needed.
  • Anticipate and meet guest needs, taking initiative to address concerns and exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely food delivery and exceptional presentation.
  • Manage cash handling and point-of-sale transactions with accuracy and precision.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.

Salary Estimate: $18-$22 per hour, depending on location and experience.
