KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensures the bar is properly set up each day, including the requisition and stocking of all beverages, garnishes, and necessary supplies based on daily operational forecasts.
  2. Responsible for the preparation, cutting, and storage of fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring the quality of all perishable items.
  3. Welcomes guests with a friendly demeanor, takes drink orders, and mixes, garnishes, and serves beverages according to standard recipes while maintaining portion control.
  4. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  5. Processes orders through the point of sale system, creating checks for each guest to ensure accountability for all beverages served.
  6. Handles cash transactions, provides change, verifies the accuracy of charges, and ensures proper execution of vouchers to balance all financial transactions.
  7. Secures and stores all beverage and food items, performs cash drops, and safeguards the cash register.
  8. Maintains regular attendance and is available to work as scheduled.
  9. Performs any additional job-related tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess effective communication skills in English. A self-motivated individual with a calm demeanor is essential. Professional appearance and conduct are required at all times. Ability to collaborate with colleagues and assist them in their duties is necessary. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, particularly regarding alcoholic drinks, is essential. Basic math skills are required for operating the cash register, making change, and managing financial transactions. Manual dexterity is needed for tasks such as cutting garnishes, handling glassware, and mixing drinks. Ability to remember and promote various menu items is important. Familiarity with point of sale systems for order processing is required. Capability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods is necessary. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers is crucial.
