Laundry Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Assistant to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, sort, and load soiled linen into the washer(s) and load clean linens into the dryer(s)
  • Fold clean linens and count and record the linen processed each day
  • Make proper deliveries to units and clean and sanitize the work area, including machines, work tables, and sorting area
  • Ensure the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety precautions
  • Report equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment is achieved at all times
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
