About the Role:

Nurse Home Visitor is a critical position at Halifax Community College, where you will play a vital role in implementing and sustaining the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program. As a Nurse Home Visitor, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to first-time families, promoting significant improvements in their health and lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enroll and coordinate services for a caseload of 25-30 NFP families, providing in-person and/or virtual visits to support their needs.
  • Utilize self-reflective practices, therapeutic relationships, and motivational interviewing to establish trust with families and promote positive outcomes.
  • Partner with families, community agencies, and other programs to improve pregnancy outcomes, child health, and economic self-sufficiency.
  • Attend and complete required education, training, and outreach events to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing and current enrollment in an RN to BSN program.
  • Valid Driver's License and current, active nursing license in North Carolina or a Compact State.
  • Considerable knowledge and experience in maternal child nursing, pediatric nursing, or community health nursing.
