Job Summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate IV to join our team in Reno. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the overall mission of The Salvation Army through the programs offered at the Reno Corps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process donated goods in a timely and efficient manner
  • Sort, clean, and price donated goods for shipment to stores
  • Discriminate between quality merchandise and inexpensive items, sending collectibles to the appropriate department
  • Handle merchandise with care, discarding items with suggestive messages, cult slogans, or drug abuse-related content
  • Read and fill orders from Revenue Centers
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow supervisor's orders without direct supervision
  • Keep records of processed goods and submit to supervisor
  • Work effectively with beneficiaries on work therapy assignments, adhering to The Salvation Army's Fraternizing Policy
Requirements
  • Ability to run simple mechanized equipment, including pricing machines
  • Capacity to follow direct orders and work under time constraints
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds non-continuously
Physical Demands

The successful candidate must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis up to eight hours per day. Additionally, they must be able to grasp, push, and/or pull objects, reach overhead, and process written, visual, and/or verbal information.
