Job Summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Vascular Access Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with staff nurses to deliver high-quality, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters and PICCs for patients from pediatric to adult using vascular visualization devices, including ultrasound.
  • Consulting with staff related to vascular access devices and complications of vascular access.
  • Caring for and maintaining vascular access devices and clinical interventions for PICC issues, including clearance of occluded catheters, dressing protocols for skin issues, and dressing assessment and management.
  • Providing unit-based education.
  • Participating in quality and process improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • Strong preference for prior IV skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.
