Position Overview

As we advance in our mission at Essentia Health, we are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients across various specialties, including Neurotrauma, Burn, Medical ICU, and IMC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care while ensuring safety and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and comfort care for patients.
  • Safely transfer patients and monitor vital signs, maintaining accurate records.
  • Identify and report any changes in patient conditions promptly to the nursing staff.
  • Uphold a clean and safe environment to facilitate patient healing.
  • Adhere to the standards set by regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Qualifications:

No formal education requirements are necessary for this position.

Sign-On Bonus: New hires are eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus, subject to certain restrictions.

Licensure/Certification:

  • BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within one month of hire.
  • Must meet one of the following qualifications:
    • Completion of a recognized nurse aide training program or current registration on the state nursing assistant registry.
    • Six months of nursing assistant experience.
    • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program.
