Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Center Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient symptoms, reactions, and physical condition, and record data in the medical record.
- Document vital signs and other measures as indicated by the patient's condition or diagnosis.
- Schedule tests, admissions, and other procedures as ordered by the physician or healthcare provider.
- Provide instructions and educational training on special tests, procedures, or health and lifestyle modifications.
- Assist with procedures and examinations, and perform office laboratory procedures as needed.
- Handle all aspects of prescription refills, from retrieving messages to phoning or faxing refills to the pharmacy.
- Assist clinical associates with immunizations, lab draws, blood pressure checks, injections, and other duties as necessary.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN, diploma, BSN).
- RN Indiana license or licensed in another state with requested endorsement in Indiana.
- CPR certification required; ACLS and NRP certification preferred.
- A minimum of six months current experience in the ambulatory care setting preferred.
