Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indiana. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patients and equipment for testing, and collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document testing, monitoring patients throughout testing and intervening as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
  • Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing, determining and reporting needed repairs or replacements.
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, scoring, interpreting, and reporting results of sleep studies.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date, Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date, Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date, Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) obtained within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
