Job Summary

As a Psychologist, you will provide clinical/psychological services to children, adolescents, and young adults admitted to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Service at Kings County Hospital. You will also provide clinical supervision of psychology interns and externs.

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment services for assigned inpatient cases
  • Provide individual and family therapy for assigned inpatient cases and facilitate therapeutic groups on the milieu
  • Monitor and manage the effective implementation of the therapeutic milieu behavioral intervention program
  • Consult with the Behavior Support Team and provide consultation to team members regarding the implementation of Individual Behavior Plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctoral Degree in clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology, or Neuro-Psychology from an institution registered by the New York State Department of Education and designated as licensure qualifying
  • One additional year of satisfactory full-time experience as a Psychologist or in a supervisory capacity in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology, or Neuro-Psychology in an approved agency or institution
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance coverage, dental, vision, retirement saving plans, and paid time off. Additionally, you will receive an annual salary of $142,000 if you are currently registered and possess a New York State license to practice as a psychologist.
