We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist/Demand Planner to join our client's team. This dual-role position involves ensuring accurate inventory management and effective demand planning to support the company's operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Regularly audit inventory to ensure systems are balanced during daily order processing.
  • Issue Resolution: Research and resolve inventory issues, adjustments, and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Data Analysis: Track and record inventory data and present reports to various departments.
  • Quality Control: Receive products from vendors, check for quality, and communicate potential quality issues to buyers.
  • Physical Requirements: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Demand Planning:
  • Forecasting: Manage monthly forecasts and buy planning, including demand forecasting at department, category, style, product, and size levels.
  • Order Management: Handle purchase orders and invoice management, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, and finance teams to understand marketing programs, new product introductions, pricing changes, promotions, and events.
  • Consensus Process: Lead the monthly consensus process to develop forecasts that meet supply chain service and inventory goals, and create monthly financial forecasts.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Generally 2-5 years of relevant experience in inventory control and/or demand planning.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in inventory management and demand forecasting.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with forecasting systems and inventory management software.
