Role Summary: As a Production Engineer at Replex, you will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing, address operational challenges, and collaborate closely with the production team, Plant Manager, and Senior Maintenance Technician. Your responsibilities will include overseeing engineering projects, nurturing vendor relationships, managing capital expenditure projects, and training operators. You will also play a key role in implementing initiatives such as the ERP system in 2025 and contributing to the Leadership Team at Replex. This position is designed for a hands-on generalist rather than a narrow specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather essential information for responding to new item inquiries, including performing 3-axis and 5-axis CNC programming using Solidworks and AlphaCAM software, and obtaining tool quotes from suppliers.
  • Oversee Capital Expenditure Projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage process improvement initiatives in manufacturing, applying lean manufacturing principles such as Deming principles, SMED, 5S, one-piece flow, and POU storage.
  • Provide leadership for the Replex Way quality management system, ensuring compliance with TRWM and maintaining ISO certification.
  • Address environmental issues, including EPA reporting and permitting, TSCA, RoHS, REACH, and others.
  • Support the Plant Manager by conducting root cause analysis of issues leading to customer credits or complaints and developing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze production and financial data to propose ideas for process improvement projects.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of Replex's facilities.
  • Lead initiatives focused on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications for Success:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance and engineering.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, including Deming principles.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to learn all Replex processes to assist in troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in questioning during troubleshooting of production processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Replex management and production team members.
  • Well-organized and self-managed, capable of summarizing and reporting on the status of over 20 projects.
  • Financial literacy to understand manufacturing product costing and P&L, enabling sound business decisions.
  • An engineering degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
