We are seeking exceptional, board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine physicians to join our expanding team at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist - Wilkes Medical Center.

As a hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the growth and development of our team.

Responsibilities
  • Admitting adult patients with medical problems for hospital stay
  • Giving prompt and complete attention to all patient care needs, including diagnosis, treatment, and medical procedures
  • Collaborating with other physicians and healthcare personnel to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Attending and providing inpatient medicine consults and post-operative care to other medical and surgical specialties
  • Employing quality and process improvement techniques to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Conducting discharge planning and discharging patients safely and efficiently
  • Training or supervising medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals
  • Responding to and managing any Rapid Responses or Codes
Requirements
  • Board certification or board eligibility in internal medicine
  • Three years of internal medicine residency experience
  • North Carolina licensure or eligibility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
