About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Piedmont Health & Rehab Center. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve optimal physical function and facilitating their achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and Evaluate Residents: Assess the need for Speech, Language, or Swallowing Therapy for all residents.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Establish treatment programs with consultation to facility staff in areas of Speech Therapy.
  • Provide Results and Objectives: Communicate the results of evaluations and treatment objectives to caregivers, family members, and residents.
  • Document and Implement Treatment: Complete all documentation as required by the fiscal intermediary, within the designated time frame, and implement the treatment program based on evaluative results.
  • Monitor Progress and Adjust Treatment: Monitor the resident's response to treatment and alter the treatment plan as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Hold a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university and be licensed accordingly.
  • Experience: Previous experience in long-term care is preferred, but not required.
