About the Role:
NaphCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our team at the St. Lucie County Jail in Fort Pierce, FL. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
- Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
- Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
- Conduct rounds in all units
- Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
- Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychiatrist license in FL
- Current DEA registration
- A valid CPR card
- Board certification
- Eligible or qualified by the state laws/regulations to practice psychiatry
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in primary care specialty of psychiatrist with administrative experience
- Must possess strong written communication and verbal skills
- Must have strong computer skills
