Position Overview:
As a Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting, specializing in Minor Care, MedSurg, and PCU.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize your expertise to identify and address the educational needs of patients and their families, employing suitable educational methods.
  2. Ensure patient safety through proactive measures, including the correct use of side rails, restraints, and equipment.
  3. Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of all equipment within the PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg areas, including troubleshooting and repair procedures.
  4. Implement and adhere to infection control protocols and isolation procedures, maintaining standard precautions at all times.
  5. Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation of patient conditions, nursing interventions, and responses throughout your shift.
  6. Accurately process physician orders and conduct thorough 24-hour checks of orders as required.
  7. Deliver a detailed change of shift report to incoming staff, ensuring clear communication across departments.
  8. Timely report critical lab results to physicians, adhering to established policies.
  9. Manage and replenish emergency supplies and equipment as necessary.
