Mechanical Superintendent

Join TIC - The Industrial Company, a leading provider of direct-hire construction services for industrial projects, as a Mechanical Superintendent. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to oversee the performance of craft workers, manage productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence on our industrial construction projects.

• Provide supervisory direction to craft workers, ensuring compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Liaise between field engineering and craft to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate and interface effectively with other superintendents, subcontractors, and Kiewit staff personnel to ensure project success.
• Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.
• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor/field management meetings for communication.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates, cash flow projections, review, approve, and negotiate change orders.
• Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards.

• 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, performing functions as identified above.
• A combination of both construction oversight/construction management of subcontractors and directly overseeing foreman and craft crews doing self-perform work is highly desired.
• Experience with semiconductor plants is highly desired.
• Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements, and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and other documents.
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft and subcontractor performance.
• Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
