Position: Buyer

As a Buyer, you will act as a crucial link between Brady and our suppliers, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our clientele. You will gain insights into customer preferences and behaviors, which will guide purchasing decisions related to janitorial and foodservice supplies.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. Certifications such as C.P.M. or C.P.S.M. are advantageous.
• A minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience is necessary, with a preference for candidates with a background in distribution or inventory management. Familiarity with Prophet 21 or similar distribution/inventory systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure materials in alignment with inventory objectives.
• Communicate forecasts and purchase orders to suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure the accuracy of master data pertaining to products.
• Collaborate internally with the sales team.
• Assist in resolving issues related to damaged or substandard products, returns, and invoice discrepancies.
• Support the management of optimal inventory levels by monitoring excess inventory and dead stock.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable pricing.
• Maintain robust communication with suppliers to resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as fill rate and on-time delivery, implementing solutions to achieve company goals.
