Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire System Technician to join our team at W3Global Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for testing, servicing, and repairing fire systems for our municipal, residential, and commercial customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, repair, and install fire systems based on customer orders, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrate fire systems to customers, explaining the causes and consequences of false alarms, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, adhering to wiring and system specifications, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support to our customers.
  • Complete and submit all service call-related documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and accurately manage inventory stock levels.
  • Perform various projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and technical school training and/or certification in fire systems.
  • One year of experience with fire systems and low voltage wiring is preferred.
  • Must have flexibility to travel and work overtime when needed, and be comfortable with computers and Microsoft Suite.
  • IT and networking experience is a plus, and current BASA/FASA certification is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.
  • Customer and personal service skills, with the ability to meet quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction.
  • Telecommunications knowledge, with the ability to identify complex problems and develop solutions.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize and address issues promptly.
  • An acceptable driving and criminal history record.
