Key Responsibilities

* Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the deli department and surrounding areas
* Ensure the highest quality products are available to customers by following proper handling and storage procedures
* Operate slicing equipment to prepare meats and cheeses for customers
* Prepare ready-to-eat foods to individual customer orders
* Adhere to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food
* May operate cash register and handle customer transactions
* Assist with inventory control and minimize losses by following company procedures
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* No prior experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and take direction is essential
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
