About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team at City National Bank. As a key member of our Technology & Innovations organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining legacy and cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cross-functional, multi-platform application systems
  • Write high-quality code with a focus on automated testing and validation
  • Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support
  • Research and implement vendor dependencies to simplify architecture
  • Implement, maintain, and update CI/CD pipelines on a cloud environment
  • Collaborate with business partners, architects, and other groups to identify complex technical and functional needs of systems
  • Design and develop APIs for omnichannel clients
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and build APIs and UIs to leverage large data sets, infrastructure, and user experience
  • Own the full lifecycle of web software development, from ideas to production
  • Provide programming expertise and business analysis skills within a broad business area
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10+ years of software development experience
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience with Java,.NET, Python, and databases and data modeling/design (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of coordinating team efforts in a project or operations environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-stack development for cloud solutions (Azure or AWS)
  • 8+ years of experience in JavaScript development frameworks and tooling
  • 8+ years of experience managing software development projects through complete release cycles
  • 4+ years of experience in big data and event streaming technologies
  • 4+ years of experience leading software engineering teams
  • 4+ years of experience with container and orchestration
  • 4+ years of experience in build and CICD technologies
  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance technologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in YAML, Java, J2EE, Apache Web Services, XML, and Restful-API/Kafka & event-driven integration capabilities
  • Proficiency in managing large sets of data, including excellent proficiency with ANSI-SQL querying structured and unstructured data sources
  • Experience with ELK and other logging capabilities
  • Proficiency in Generative AI and Machine Learning
