We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Perioperative Assistant to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the provision of indirect and direct patient care within the surgical services department.
- Participate in team communication and collaboration to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform tasks such as cleaning and stocking, room turnover, and transporting patients.
- Obtain and deliver items as requested, including equipment, instruments, specimens, and other lab requests.
- Complete preoperative skin preparation according to department guidelines.
- Communicate ideas and opportunities for improvement and serve as a mentor and resource to new staff.
- Vocational or technical training in surgical technology, nursing assistant, or medical assistant, or surgical setting work experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in a surgical setting.
- Preferred qualifications include 1 year of experience in a surgical setting.
- BLS Tier - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire.
