Medical Director Opportunity

Borrego Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our team of healthcare professionals. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary care and supervising mid-levels and clinical support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-service staff training on selected topics
  • Prepare and review medical histories and obtain data through interviews
  • Maintain detailed, legible, and confidential medical records
  • Code encounter forms according to time of visit, procedures performed, and pertinent ICD-9 codes
  • Assist in internal quality control audits
  • Participate in peer review
  • Supervise medical assistants and lab personnel in area of specific support services for patient care delivery
  • Attend internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences
  • Perform all duties and services in full compliance with Borrego Community Health Foundation standards of care
Requirements:
  • Must be capable of meeting 80% or more of established productivity standards
  • Participate in after-hour calls as scheduled
  • Maintain a program of comprehensive health for the family unit
  • Examine patients, formulate differential diagnostic plans, and define and order required diagnostic testing
  • Interpret examination findings and test results, and implement treatment plans
