Aircraft Inspector Job Description

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector to join our team in Great Falls, Montana.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft in heavy maintenance checks, flightline/storage induction, and back shop repair/overhaul activities.
  • Enforce Quality Control standards for material receiving, shipping, storage, handling, repairs, and overhaul to ensure quality and compliance with manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations.
  • Inspect aircraft components during assembly, installation, and adjustment phases to ensure workmanship and materials meet manufacturer specifications and maintenance manual procedures.
  • Document all inspection data and bring irregularities to the attention of the Lead Inspector.
  • Perform maintenance work/repair of company equipment and general shop housecleaning.
  • Test tightness of airframe connections and inspect fit of parts using hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Determine accuracy of installation of components in power plant and hydraulic systems using protractors, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Sign inspection tags to approve units or record reasons for rejecting units.
  • Log inspections performed on aircraft.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Regional or Commercial Aircraft Inspection.
  • Valid and active A&P license.
  • Availability to start ASAP.
  • Minimum tools required.
  • Willingness to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Willingness to work any shift.
  • Willingness to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
