Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Northwestern Medicine Outpatient Rehabilitation in Orland Park. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer various physical therapy techniques and modalities to restore function, prevent disability, and promote patient independence.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Supervise and mentor physical therapy students and staff to promote professional growth and development.
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based research to provide cutting-edge care and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Physical Therapy License, Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy if graduate before 2002. Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy if graduate after 2002.
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association.
  • Ability to lift/carry weight of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push/pull with 50 pounds of force.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, 80 hours per pay period position. Hours will be Monday through Friday with at least 2 evenings worked. Will entertain a four 10hr/day work week. Holidays and weekends off.
