Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) to monitor and assess patients using advanced medical technology. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating patient histories, providing specialized care to critically ill individuals, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. You will also communicate with family members regarding patient health updates.
Our ideal candidate is a Telemetry Cardiac RN with expertise in analyzing and interpreting data from sophisticated medical devices. You will care for critically ill patients, oversee telemetry unit operations, and administer medications. Additionally, you will guide patients and their families on post-hospital care strategies.
To excel as a Telemetry Cardiac RN, you must possess significant experience in managing critically ill patients and thrive in a high-pressure environment. Successful candidates will adeptly interpret medical technology data and deliver compassionate care to their patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care under general supervision, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in alignment with established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and optimal outcomes.
- Engage effectively with patients and their families while upholding professional nursing standards.
- Connect patients to monitoring equipment that tracks vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and blood-oxygen levels, transmitting data to computer screens for continuous observation.
- Analyze and interpret monitoring data to inform patient care decisions.
- Administer medications and execute treatment plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
- Maintain and update patient records, charts, and medical documentation.
- Educate Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment protocols.
- Work closely with healthcare specialists to report any changes in patient conditions.
- Clarify test results and procedures to patients and their families, addressing any inquiries.
- Provide guidance on post-hospital care, including medication regimens, home care instructions, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
