We are seeking a highly qualified Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a member of our education department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the curriculum goals and standards for the classroom, mentoring additional teachers, and ensuring the overall quality of the classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Assist teaching staff in identifying strategies for individualized instruction and develop a comprehensive plan to meet the needs of all students.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth among students.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to teaching staff to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their roles.
- Program Evaluation: Regularly assess the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field with at least two years of experience.
- Experience: At least three years of teaching experience in an early childhood education setting, preferably in a Reggio Emilia-inspired program.
- Cultural Competence: Experience working with diverse cultures and ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of state educational standards and best practices in early childhood education.
