Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with Pennsylvania Early Standards and curriculum-based instruction.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters independence, confidence, and creativity.
- Facilitate student interactions with instruction that is child-centered and based on the principles of child development.
- Provide a comfortable and supportive environment for parents, encouraging them to observe their children and support their efforts in parenting a child with hearing loss.
- Observe students and record information related to their development to inform goal-setting and progress tracking.
- Engage individual students and small groups in activities that contribute to the development of listening and spoken language skills.
- Collaborate with Clarke professionals to provide accurate information on student outcomes and explain techniques necessary to build age-appropriate skills.
- Collaborate with Clarke professionals to troubleshoot hearing assistive technology and provide diagnostic information about auditory, speech, and language skills.
- Maintain regular communication with families through written notes, emails, and progress report meetings.
- Provide guidance and support to the Classroom Teacher Assistant in maintaining the health, safety, and educational well-being of students.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania Teacher Certificate in a related field or willingness/ability to obtain.
- Pennsylvania state credentials.
- Pennsylvania State clearances - Child Abuse, FBI, Criminal Background Check.
- Knowledge and experience in early childhood education.
- Knowledge and experience with assistive listening devices, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and remote technology.
