About the Role

The Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center Pasco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that the kitchen is always well-stocked and that waste is minimized
  • Train and develop kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to ensure that the kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently
  • Assist with the planning and execution of special events and banquets
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
  • Three years of progressive experience in high-volume food production or catering
  • Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in food preparation, management, nutrition, or a related field
  • Formal culinary art training
  • Prior experience in training, purchasing, and managing budgets
