The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at Saint Luke's Bishop Spencer Place. As a Wound Care RN, you will play a vital role in assessing wounds and skin alterations, developing care plans, implementing orders and treatments, and evaluating progress. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping our residents achieve optimal wound healing and improving their overall quality of life.

The Shift

This is a full-time day shift position, working five 8-hour shifts per week. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, communication, and mutual respect. The Work

As a Wound Care Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating new and continuing residents for wounds and skin alterations
  • Notifying physician and Nurse Supervisor of wound changes
  • Implementing orders and providing treatments to heal wounds
  • Identifying wound types and providing education to other nursing staff
  • Documenting wound status and treatment interventions
  • Consulting with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident's care, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Providing other direct nursing care as necessary
  • Participating in QAPI activities, including participation in annual survey preparation and survey process, and maintenance of CMS standards
