Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including CT scans, to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis and treatment.
  • Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for procedures.
  • Provide patient-centered care, adapting to individual needs and preferences.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
  • Current state licensure and BLS certification required.
