Position Overview

The Paramedic Technician plays a crucial role in emergency medical services, responsible for operating an emergency vehicle to respond to urgent situations. This role involves evaluating patients under the guidance of the EMT-Paramedic on-site, delivering necessary treatments, and ensuring safe transportation to medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws.
- Conduct patient assessments and relay critical information to Emergency Department staff.
- Administer basic life support as per established protocols, including airway management and IV maintenance.
- Collaborate with EMT-Paramedics in providing advanced life support care, anticipating their needs during emergencies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ambulance and associated equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the confidentiality and security of patient information, adhering to all relevant regulations.
