About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Applied Scientist to join our Beauty Tech team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of innovative scientific solutions that address customer problems in the beauty space. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, engineers, and the broader Amazon scientific community to pioneer state-of-the-art solutions to extremely challenging problems in machine learning and computer vision.

  • Lead the ideation, design, prototyping, development, and launch of innovative scientific solutions that address customer problems in the beauty space">
  • Closely partner with product managers, UX designers, engineers, and the broader Amazon scientific community to pioneer state-of-the-art solutions to extremely challenging problems in machine learning and computer vision">
  • Hire, mentor, and develop the best and brightest science and engineering talent while our organization rapidly continues to expand">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience">
  • PhD or Master's degree and 5+ years of applied research experience">
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language">
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning">

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

  • ">
  • Modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy, etc.">
  • Conducting research in a corporate setting">
  • Building solutions for Generative AI, CV, Diffusion Models; Recommendation Systems (RecSys), Personalization, Indexing, ANN, User Behavioral Modeling, Ranking Algorithms, and relevant technologies">

Compensation

">

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $150,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market. Amazon offers a total compensation package, including equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
