At Modern Animal, we're revolutionizing the way veterinary care is delivered. Our externship program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a technology-forward, people-centric environment.

As a participant in our externship program, you'll have the chance to shadow our exceptional care team, practice technical skills, and dive deep into medical and surgical case management. You'll also gain exposure to the latest technology in veterinary medicine and enjoy unique mentorship and networking opportunities.

We're looking for students who share our passion for creating a better, more sustainable veterinary practice. If you're interested in being part of the change that's bringing technology to veterinary medicine, we want to hear from you.

Eligibility

To apply, you must be a student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school. We recommend applying at least 2-3 months prior to the proposed externship start date.

Are externships at Modern Animal paid?

No, our externships are not paid experiences. However, we provide one-on-one, hands-on learning experiences that will help you expand your knowledge and skills.

Will my housing be covered by Modern Animal?

Housing assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis.
