Job Title: Financial Aid Counselor

George Fox University's Financial Aid office is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Financial Aid Counselor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communicating the value of a George Fox education to students and parents, working with incoming and continuing students to navigate the financial aid process, and contributing to the management of the financial aid office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate the value of a George Fox education to students and parents
  • Work with incoming and continuing students to navigate the financial aid process
  • Contribute to the management of the financial aid office

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of related work experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and creative problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Communicating effectively in English and Spanish
  • Excel and/or Google Sheets

Working Conditions:

  • Physical requirements are those of a normal office environment

Supervisor: Associate Director of Financial Aid

Anticipated Start Date: January 1st, 2025

Hours Per Week: 40 hours (1.0 FTE)

Primary Work Location: Newberg Campus
