Job Summary:

KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Critical Care Specialist in the Emergency Department. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the ER setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prioritize patients in the ER, utilizing triage skills to make quick and accurate assessments of patient conditions.
  • Obtain patient history and pertinent family history, checking for allergies and current medications.
  • Obtain vital signs, including height, weight, body temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure.
  • Establish, monitor, and recognize cardiac rhythms, taking blood samples and administering medications and intra-venous therapies as needed.
  • Utilize infection control practices and take appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Document patient care and plan of care in the patient's medical record.
  • Communicate with Charge Nurses and Physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families on prescribed medications and therapies.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate state-accredited agency and accredited by either the ACEN or CCNE.
  • Current license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the district of Columbia.
  • Current certification in CPR by an American Health Association Vendor.
  • ACLS certification.
