Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Washington.

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist will work under the general supervision of the Clinical Director and be responsible for organizing the plan of care for participants while providing education and eliminating any potential barriers to treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy in accordance with the plan of care
  • Assist the IDT in the evaluation and assessment of the patient's functional level by applying appropriate diagnostic and prognostic procedures and tests
  • Recommend orthotics as indicated by condition and needs
  • Treat the participant through the use of therapeutic activities designed to restore function and self-care activities for the purpose of improving function
  • Observe, record, and report the participant's reaction to treatment and any changes in the participant's condition to the physician, PACE Clinical Director or designed, or IDT as appropriate
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association or successfully completed the educational requirements of occupational therapy
  • State of Washington Occupational Therapist license
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of occupational therapy experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with frail or elderly population preferred
  • Experience in Medicare Certified Home Health preferred
