About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated academic economist to join our faculty at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA). As an Assistant Professor, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of economic principles and their applications in various fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct original research and publish papers in top-tier economics journals.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in economics, including Ph.D. students.
• Develop and maintain a strong research agenda, with a focus on contributing to the advancement of economic knowledge.
• Engage in service activities, such as departmental or university committee work.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a Ph.D. in Economics by the date of hire. A strong background in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, or a related field is essential. You should also demonstrate excellent teaching and communication skills, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
