Culinary Artist

Heritage Restaurant Group is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Blockhead Beerworks in downtown Valparaiso. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for our guests.

• Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Prepare high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
• Store excess food at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage.
• Ensure food portions and presentation meet company standards.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas.
• Assist other cooks to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Resolve problems with guests' orders efficiently.
• Ensure food health and safety regulations are followed.

• Previous experience as a cook preferred.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong knife skills.
• ServSafe food handling certification is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a team.
