Job Overview

M.C. Dean is seeking a skilled Radio Frequency Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining wireless communication systems in accordance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate RF cabling and equipment in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Work on project sites under the supervision of the Project Foreman, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to install cable from the RF headend to the antenna location, following drawings and run lists to ensure cables are installed methodically and adequately supported.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on team members' work, ensuring cable installation meets all applicable requirements.
  • Participate in job site cleanup and maintain a clean work area.
  • Secure company test equipment, tools, and materials daily.
  • Travel up to 25% for domestic and international projects.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial in-building wireless systems industry.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent safety record, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug test.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Consistently report to work on time and maintain a safe work environment.
Physical Abilities
  • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
  • Relocate up to a twelve-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Ability to work at various heights, climb, and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
Desired Skills
  • Proficiency in terminating coaxial cable with RF compression connectors.
  • Experience with terminating and testing twisted pair and/or fiber optic cabling.
  • Anritsu Line Sweep Experience/Certification.
  • PIM Passive Intermodulation Testing and Troubleshooting.
  • BICSI credentials, including Installer 1, 2, and/or Technician.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
