The Vascular-Thoracic unit, also known as 5 East or VTU, is a highly specialized 23-bed unit that provides high-acuity care to intensive patients who are post vascular and thoracic surgery.
Job Responsibilities:
The Vascular Thoracic nurse assesses and identifies patient needs, implementing appropriate interventions. The nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care, ensuring that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems.
Requirements:
Active Kentucky License, BCLS, ACLS, and strong critical thinking skills are required for this role.
