Tact Staff is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN Med Surg for a challenging travel nursing job in a reputable healthcare institution.

Must-Have Requirements: Charge experience is a must for this role, as the selected candidate will be working as a charge nurse. A $5 bump will be provided for this role. Minimum experience of 1 year is accepted, with 2 years preferred. The unit accepts first-time travelers.

Unit Details: The patient population consists of adults to geriatrics, with a ratio of 1:5-6. The unit uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems. Required skills include BLS and NIH.

Schedule Requirements: RTO (Return to Origin) is limited to a maximum of 7 days. Blocked scheduling is not guaranteed. No RTO will be approved for the week of a holiday. If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Holidays: Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

Weekends and Floating: Every other weekend is required, with floating within the skillset.

Compliance: Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the start date will be pushed back by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Aya Offer Information: Once the candidate has signed and confirmation is sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if the unit/schedule/expertise fit. Aya Offer is only available if the clinical pass is within RTO guidelines and meets specific facility requirements.

Pay Package: The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The posted job title is Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical.
