Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ideas for improving our educational programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in early childhood education to ensure our programs remain innovative and effective.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to childcare and/or child development, from birth to age six; OR
  • 1 year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in courses related directly to childcare and/or child development, from birth to age 6; OR
  • Completion of credential programs approved by the Department in accordance with Appendix G of this Part (CDA).
