Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Respiratory Equipment Technician responds to calls for respiratory therapy equipment and compressed gas cylinders needs throughout the hospital.

Responsible for the delivery of compressed gas cylinders, maintenance of respiratory care equipment, and support of the respiratory care services staff.

Performs all duties required of a respiratory care support services technician, overseeing and indirectly managing student tech activities within the department.

Ensures that all tech services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of LifeBridge Health.

Under minimal supervision, performs various administrative, secretarial, and complex clerical duties for the team.

Follows complex oral and written instructions, uses independent judgment, and word processing software, follows established office procedures, and is familiar with departmental and hospital policies.

Directs calls, takes accurate messages, or responds to calls by utilizing knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices.

Works to support audiovisual needs of the department and produces educational videos and power points for staff meetings, educational events, and QI/PI tracking initiatives.

Requirements
  • Preferred High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • Must be enrolled in an approved Respiratory program
