Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Dietary Manager to join our team. As a key member of our food service operations, you will be responsible for managing the dietary department, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and recommend kitchen equipment replacements or repairs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for the facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain procedures for preparing and storing food safely, minimizing the risk of contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified kitchen staff, ensuring a skilled and dedicated team.
  • Supervise kitchen staff as they prepare meals for our residents, ensuring high-quality food presentation and service.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Serve-safe certification and Food Handler Permit are required.
  • Certificate in Dietary Management (CDM) and Certified Dietary Professional (CFPP) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with the dietary portion of MDS assessments on residents is essential.
