Operations Engineering Internship

As an Operations Engineering Intern at The J. M. Smucker Company, you will have the opportunity to work closely with operating technicians and salaried employees to collect data and learn the manufacturing process. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with manufacturing technicians to identify process improvement areas and understand manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate activities of contractors, hourly technicians, and other resources to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results and progress.
- Manage projects holistically from scope development to implementation, commissioning, and verification.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize data to execute improvements and deliver effective initiatives.
- Rising junior or senior standing in school with a strong educational background in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering preferred).
- A well-rounded skill set including problem-solving, data collection, and analysis.
- Ability to work in both an office and plant environment and comply with all safety procedures.
