Bechtel Corporation is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Crane Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Hydraulic Crane Operator to work on our Port Arthur LNG project. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating hydraulic cranes, hoisting mechanisms, and other heavy equipment to lift, move, and place materials and work pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Load Hook Safety: Observe load hook up and determine the safety of the load.
  2. Crane Operation: Manipulate crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism.
  4. Defect Notification: Inspect crane for defective parts and notify the supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
  5. Material Handling: Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  6. Assembly and Disassembly: Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
  7. Minor Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
  8. Crane Safety: Safely operate crane, hoist mechanism, tools, and materials.
  9. Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate crane movement and set-up.
  10. Adherence to Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety procedures.
  11. Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 48 months industrial construction experience.
