We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Joulé. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners and creating detailed images of patients' internal structures. These images will assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clinical competencies for all exams and equipment.
- Identify patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures.
- Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results in data acquisition, including the labeling/preparation/administration of contrast.
- Document patient history in electronic records as required.
- Prior to the start of the exam, read and present all relevant information to the physician based on the protocol.
- Ensure all exams within your area of responsibility are properly coded and tracked through the RIS system, all patient information is updated and documented in Rad Assessment, all exams are properly networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed.
- Practice and maintain MR safety in the department.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to interact with both patients and coworkers, while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect. Able to work as a team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently.
Requirements
- MRI Tech: Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT program or accredited ARDMS program and must obtain MR registry within 18 months of hire date.
- MRI Tech Advanced level: Completion of formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT. 2 years of MRI experience required.
- CPR or BLS required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
